PROCONNECT CONSULTING, Bangalore is looking out for PROJECT TRAINEES/INTERNS for various roles in their Event Management Wing. The brief overview of this “Live Project” is as follows:

WHAT IS THE SCOPE OF THIS “LIVE PROJECT”?

PRODISCUSS (The Event Management Wing of Proconnect Consulting) is conducting a Job Fair on 24th and 25th of April in Bangalore. This Job Fair would be organized at an Engineering College of Bangalore. 4000~4500 students from various technical courses like BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/MCA/BCA are expected to participate in this event. This Job Fair will be participated by various Tier-I Companies from diverse domains like Software, Telecom, Hardware, Engineering, Chemical, etc. and would also witness various Professional Training Institutes setting up their counseling desks and interacting with participating students. This Job Fair is aimed at providing 1000+ “Real Jobs” for technical Graduates & Post Graduate students.

WHY DOES PROCONNECT CONSULTING REQUIRE ADDITIONAL MANPOWER?

Needless to say, an event of such magnitude requires lot of human resources who would work in coordination with each other. Proconnect Consulting thus intends to hire 10~15 Project Trainees/Interns for the duration of this JOB FAIR Project (30 Days).

WHAT WOULD THE DURATION OF THIS PROJECT?

The exact duration of this Project is 30 Days. It commences from 24th of March 2010 and ends on 25th of April 2010.

WHAT WOULD YOU BE EXPECTED TO DO AS A PROJECT TRAINEE/INTERN?

As a part of the Core Event Management Team, you could be assigned to any of the following Sub-Teams depending upon your suitability, background, relevant experience and interest. A brief about the teams are as follows:

·         The HR CONNECT TEAM would be responsible for interacting with the HRs of the various companies, explaining them the various hiring models, explaining them the event-participation details and finally close the deal by signing the MOU (Contract) with them. Please note that this role is predominantly client-interfacing and business development/sales.

·         The DESIGN TEAM takes care of all the publicity materials required for this event, right from Event Poster Designs, Invitations, Banners, Guest Passes for HRs and Career Consultants, Event Brochures, Promotional Mailers, Associated Graphics, Videos, etc.

·         The MARKETING TEAM would reach out to various professional training institutes asking them to participate and setup stalls/counseling desks at this Job Fair. This team would reach out to various companies for gathering sponsorships for this event. Please note that this role is predominantly client-interfacing and business development/sales. Hence the candidate should be comfortable travelling within Bangalore city limits.

·         The EVENT ORGANIZATION TEAM would be responsible for planning out the event right from the venue design, stage design to stall/class-room allocation to participating parties, preparing “staged event” Schedules, etc. This team would also be responsible for Media Connect wherein they’ll provide critical event-related real-time data to the various news agencies and media personnel.

WHAT WOULD BE THE PROJECT COMPENSATION OR STIPEND?

·         If selected for this 30 Days Project, Proconnect Consulting promises to pay a Project Retainer Fee of Rs. 5000 at the end of the Project Duration (on 26th April 2010) to each Project Trainee/Intern.

·         Apart from this fixed Project Retainer, the candidate also gets a chance to earn an additional incentive based on his/her performance metrics. Proconnect Consulting would provide a Project Bonus of Rs. 2,500 to 5,000 Rupees depending upon the performance and target achievement of the candidate.

·         During the tenure of the Project (30 Days), Proconnect Consulting would reimburse all incidental expenses & travel expenses (at actuals) whichever is incurred for official reasons.

·         On successful completion of this 30-Days project, each of the Trainees/Interns would be rewarded with a Project Completion Certificate based on the role he/she had performed.

IS THERE A CHANCE FOR A FULL-TIME JOB AFTER THE PROJECT?

Yes, on the basis of the performance, few trainees/interns might be taken on our direct payroll as full-time employees (at the sole discretion of the management). From this point on, they would be considered as our regular employees and would be eligible for all the benefits / incentives. Please note that there would be no obligation/promise from Proconnect Consulting on hiring the trainees as full time employees at any point. This arrangement would be completely based on the overall performance, availability of Projects and the market scenario.

WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are considering Graduate Candidates who are pursuing Regular Course in Post-Graduation and are willing to undergo internship for their academic program. We would also consider Graduates who have completed their course (with min 60% marks) and are looking for jobs in sales/marketing/event management. We are looking at trainees who are high on energy, have an attitude to learn and work & are serious about their careers. We are looking at candidates with excellent Communication skills, pleasing personality, has the conviction in presenting thoughts, has good analytical skills & and assertive behavior. Specifically for Client-Interfacing roles, we would prefer candidates with bikes.

WHAT WOULD BE THE WORK TIMINGS FOR THESE 30 DAYS?

The Work Timings throughout the Project Duration would be from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM (Monday to Friday) and 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM (Saturday). Trainees/Interns would not be asked to come to office on Sundays except for the Event Date.
